Methodology & Regulatory Framework

Universal Design & Ethical Vision

Capability-first design · Equal access

SafeITExperts is engineered so everyone can read, comprehend, and utilize our cybersecurity publications, regardless of their device, operating system, browser, or personal physical circumstances.

We treat accessibility not as a tedious legal constraint, but as a vital ethical imperative of universal inclusion: visual, motor, auditory, or cognitive impairments, temporary situations (eye strain, sunlight glare), or digital divide barriers (connectivity limitations, device constraints).

In plain English: accessibility is a core choice here. Technical knowledge should be barrier-free for every reader.

Standards & Normative Framework

WCAG 2.2 AA · RGAA 4 · EN 301 549

Our site architecture targets the most stringent global accessibility specifications:

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA (W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines);
  • French RGAA 4 (General Accessibility Improvement Reference);
  • The European standard EN 301 549 aligned with the European Accessibility Act 2025.

Even though an independent blog falls outside mandatory corporate thresholds, we voluntarily implement these professional standards across all pages.

In plain English: we follow international web standards to ensure smooth and barrier-free browsing for everyone.

Compliance Status

Continuous progress · Fact-based verification

The site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA criteria. In line with our core principle of strict sobriety and refusal of complacent self-approval, we do not claim full compliance until an independent adversarial audit is concluded.

Every component undergoes automated test sweeps (Axe-core canary checks in continuous integration) and manual checks throughout our 15-day publication lifecycle.

In plain English: we prefer verifiable engineering over unverified badges. We audit and improve components continually.

The 4 Core WCAG Principles

1. Perceivable

Contrasts & Text Alternatives

Information and interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive:

  • High contrast ratios: verified to exceed 4.5:1 for regular text and 3:1 for large text across both light and dark themes;
  • Text alternatives: all diagrams, screenshots, and visual media provide descriptive alt attributes;
  • Seizure safety: zero strobing, flashing, or rapid transitions that could trigger photosensitive seizures.
In plain English: high contrasts and image descriptions keep text sharp and legible day or night.

2. Operable

Full Keyboard Navigation

Interactive elements must be navigable and controllable without friction:

  • Full keyboard control: entire pages are operable via the Tab key without touching a mouse;
  • Prominent focus indicators: active links, inputs, and buttons display high-contrast focus rings;
  • Skip links: a “Skip to main content” anchor bypasses repetitive headers;
  • Touch-friendly targets: interactive controls exceed 45px in height on mobile screens.
In plain English: complete navigation is possible using keyboard only or touchscreens without precision struggles.

3. Understandable

Semantic Structure & Predictability

Content and interactive layouts must be clear and intuitive:

  • Logical heading hierarchy: exactly one h1 per page, followed by properly ordered h2 and h3 tags;
  • Clear forms: explicit labels on inputs, distinct required indicators, and structured error guidance;
  • Descriptive anchor text: link anchors clearly convey destination context rather than generic phrasing.
In plain English: clear headings and descriptive links explain exactly where you are and where you go.

4. Robust

Assistive Tech & Clean Markup

Underlying markup must remain reliably parseable by diverse user agents:

  • Strict, standards-compliant HTML5 with self-closing and properly nested elements;
  • WAI-ARIA roles and landmarks (drawers, toggles, navigation regions);
  • Extensive compatibility with modern screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, Orca).
In plain English: clean, valid markup ensures screen readers interpret page content seamlessly.

Assistive Features & User Feedback

Built-in Assistive Tools

Accessibility Dock ♿ & Theme Toggles

SafeITExperts provides a floating accessibility controller, activated via the ♿ icon at the bottom of the viewport:

  • Text scaling: increase font size up to +25% without breaking the grid;
  • Dyslexia spacing: wider line heights and letter spacing for enhanced reading comfort;
  • Plain font: clean, simplified typography option;
  • Enhanced contrast: bold outlines and high-contrast surfaces;
  • Underline links: visual distinction for hyperlinks independent of color;
  • Pause animations: instant freeze of carousels and CSS transitions.

All preferences are saved strictly in local storage with zero tracking cookies.

In plain English: click the ♿ icon to adjust letter sizing, change font styles, or freeze animations to match your needs.

Report a Barrier & Feedback

Direct Communication Channel

Accessibility is a journey of continuous refinement. If you encounter any friction, illegible text, insufficient contrast, or screen reader glitches, please report it immediately.

Your constructive feedback directly drives interface updates:
