Trackers & Local Storage (CNIL Guidelines)

“Privacy-First” Philosophy

GDPR Art. 5 · Absolute Data Minimization

As a publication specialized in cybersecurity and systems defense, SafeITExperts follows a rigorous standard: we deploy zero advertising cookies, zero third-party tracking pixels, and zero commercial profiling.

We have no commercial interest in tracking your browsing habits. The entire site is readable while preserving your complete anonymity.

In plain English: no ads, no trackers, no profiling, and no data broker sales. Your privacy is respected by design.

Local Storage & Preferences

French Data Protection Act Art. 82 · Consent Exempt

In accordance with CNIL recommendations (October 2020), technical storage strictly necessary to deliver an explicitly requested service is exempt from prior consent.

Our Site does not use cookies for your preferences, but relies on browser localStorage to remember:

  • Your visual theme preference (dark or light mode);
  • Your custom accessibility settings (font scaling, dyslexia spacing, high contrast).

This information remains strictly confined to your personal device and is never sent to our servers.

In plain English: comfort settings (dark mode, dyslexia fonts) are remembered locally on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.

Audience Measurement & Review

Cookieless Analytics · Editorial Transparency

To evaluate reader engagement, we utilize a cookieless analytics architecture (Cloudflare Web Analytics). It sets no client-side cookies, avoids persistent device fingerprinting, and aggregates traffic anonymously.

For transparency, temporary statistical review campaigns by geographical area may be run for defined intervals. Their sole objective is assessing regional interest in complex technical topics to prioritize future guides. All resulting metrics remain aggregated and strictly anonymous.

In plain English: our audience measurement does not track your identity or set cookies. We only observe aggregate geographic trends to write better articles.

Infrastructure Security

Strictly Necessary Technical Tokens

The Cloudflare edge delivery network may set strictly necessary technical security cookies (such as __cf_bm for bot management and DDoS mitigation).

These tokens exist exclusively to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated attack vectors. They contain no personal identifying data and are exempt from consent under CNIL and ePrivacy rules.

In plain English: these technical tokens protect our servers against automated botnets and malicious cyber attacks.

Personal Data & Processing

Community Comments

Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest & Consent

When you submit a comment under an article, we store:

  • The chosen nickname or first name (displayed publicly);
  • The email address (kept confidential, never displayed publicly);
  • An optional website link;
  • The message body;
  • Your IP address and timestamp, used exclusively for anti-spam moderation and legal compliance.

Data is persisted in our encrypted Cloudflare D1 database and retained for the lifespan of the relevant article.

In plain English: your email is never public. Your IP and message are retained strictly for spam prevention and moderation.

Inquiries & Security Reports

Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest

If you contact us via email (for technical questions, privacy inquiries, or coordinated vulnerability reports), we retain your message and email address only for the duration needed to resolve your request.

This correspondence is never used for promotional campaigns or transferred to marketing mailing lists.

In plain English: if you email us, we only keep your message to answer you, nothing else.

Hosting & Edge Processors

GDPR Art. 28 · Data Transfer Safeguards

The Site is hosted and executed on Cloudflare edge infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers, D1 Database). Data routing complies with European Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

No personal information is sold, rented, or shared with advertising exchanges, data brokers, or social media networks.

In plain English: our infrastructure runs on secure Cloudflare edge nodes compliant with European law. No data is ever sold.
